The Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution approving the amended Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget for the Miami Gardens Community Redevelopment Agency and Area, totaling $13,491,027.00. This approval is contingent upon the negotiation of a right-to-use agreement for the Miami Gardens Performing Arts Center (also known as the North Dade Cultural Arts Center) by the County. The budget includes significant allocations for the Performing Arts Center reserves ($10,651,409) and professional services ($2,000,000), as well as $300,000 for infrastructure improvements. If the right-to-use agreement for the Performing Arts Center cannot be successfully negotiated within 60 days of the resolution's effective date, the resolution will be void.
