Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-490-26, extending Prequalification Pool No. EVN0043091 (also referenced as RTQ-01468) for OEM Repair and Service for Fire Rescue Equipment. The extension grants an additional five years and increases expenditure authority by $17,600,000, bringing the total modified cumulative pool amount to $36,202,842. This pool serves the Miami Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department (MDFR) for maintenance and repair of fire suppression, construction, and heavy-duty motor vehicles, including OEM components. Contract awards exceeding $5,000,000, or $1,500,000 for MDAD, require Board ratification. The pool was initially established on January 20, 2021, for a five-year term. The extension aims to streamline processes, reduce administrative work for vendors and the County, and ensure critical fire rescue apparatus remain operational. The pool remains open, and additional qualified vendors may be added. Due diligence was performed on prequalified vendors with no adverse findings. The two percent User Access Program applies where permitted, and Small Business Enterprise measures and Local Preference will be applied at the time of spot market competition where permitted.
