Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-490-26, authorizing an extension of five years and an additional $17,600,000.00 in expenditure authority for Prequalification Pool No. EVN0043091 (also referenced as RTQ-01468), for OEM Repair and Service for Fire Rescue Equipment. This brings the total modified cumulative pool amount to $36,202,842.00. The extension is for the Miami Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department (MDFR). The pool was originally established on January 20, 2021, for a five-year term. Any contract award under the pool exceeding $5,000,000.00, or $1,500,000.00 for MDAD, requires ratification by the Board. The extension aims to streamline processes, reduce administrative work for vendors and the County, and ensure critical fire rescue apparatus remain operational. The pool remains open, and additional qualified vendors may be added at any time. Due diligence was performed on prequalified vendors with no adverse findings. The two percent User Access Program applies where permitted, and Small Business Enterprise measures and Local Preference will be applied at the time of spot market competition where permitted.
