Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted an ordinance amending the boundaries of the Ojus Sanitary Sewer Special Benefit Area (OSSSBA) by adding one property and ratifying the non-ad valorem assessment roll, rates, and assessments for the fiscal year October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027. The total assessment for the special benefit, including financing charges, is $21,223,217.00 over 28 years. The newly added parcel will have an annual assessment of $0.5656 per square foot. The OSSSBA serves to provide for the expansion of sanitary sewer service to certain non-residential and non-institutional parcels within unincorporated Miami-Dade County that lack access to the County’s sewer system. Public hearing was held, and no one came forward to speak.
