PALMETTO HOMES ADDITIONAL EXTENSION FOR 30 LOTS

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing the execution of amended and restated county deeds for Palmetto Homes Urban Development Group, Inc. This grants a three-year extension from the adoption date (June 16, 2026) for Palmetto Homes to construct, complete, and sell or rent properties designated for affordable housing for very low-, low-, or moderate-income households. The extension applies to properties previously conveyed under Resolutions R-722-20 and R-928-20. The resolution also authorizes the County Mayor or designee to enforce deed provisions and exercise reversionary interests if necessary. Palmetto Homes has returned 12 lots and three specific properties to the County, including those at 550 NW 22nd Street, 2185 NW 5th Place, and 2173 NW 5th Place, Miami, FL. Palmetto Homes has also committed to constructing a Puerto Rican Community Center and multifamily housing on properties to be conveyed to them.
