PALMETTO HOMES ADDITIONAL EXTENSION FOR 30 LOTS

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing an extension for Palmetto Homes Urban Development Group, Inc. to construct, complete, and sell or rent affordable housing properties. This extension is for three years from the adoption date of the resolution. The original conveyances of these properties were authorized by Resolutions R-722-20 and R-928-20, with previous extensions granted by R-1170-22. The resolution also details the process for enforcing reversionary interests and receiving deeds back to the County if Palmetto Homes fails to comply with deed restrictions. Palmetto Homes has returned 12 lots to the County and is also returning three specific properties located at 550 NW 22nd Street, 2185 NW 5th Place, and 2173 NW 5th Place, Miami, FL. Palmetto Homes has committed to constructing a Puerto Rican Community Center and multifamily housing on properties to be conveyed to them.
