PALMETTO HOMES ADDITIONAL EXTENSION FOR 30 LOTS

Miami-Dade County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing an extension for Palmetto Homes Urban Development Group, Inc. to construct and complete affordable housing on multiple county-owned properties. This extension is for three years from the adoption date of the resolution. The properties are designated for very low-, low-, or moderate-income households under the Infill Housing Initiative Program and Florida Statutes. The resolution also authorizes the execution of amended and restated county deeds and grants the County Mayor or designee authority to enforce deed provisions, exercise reversionary interests, or accept deeds back if the developer fails to comply. Palmetto Homes has returned 12 lots to the County and is also returning three specific lots located at 550 NW 22nd Street, 2185 NW 5th Place, and 2173 NW 5th Place, Miami, FL, which were intended for an exchange with Mana Fashion Realty, LLC. Palmetto Homes has committed to constructing a Puerto Rican Community Center and multifamily housing on properties to be conveyed by Mana.
