PALMETTO HOMES ADDITIONAL EXTENSION FOR 30 LOTS

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-560-26, authorizing an extension for Palmetto Homes Urban Development Group, Inc. to construct and complete affordable housing on multiple county-owned properties. This resolution grants a three-year extension from the adoption date for construction and obtaining certificates of occupancy. The project involves developing homes for very low-, low-, or moderate-income households under the Infill Housing Initiative Program. Several lots were previously conveyed to Palmetto Homes under Resolutions R-722-20 and R-928-20, with prior extensions granted and expired. Palmetto Homes has returned 12 lots and three specific properties (550 NW 22nd Street, 2185 NW 5th Place, and 2173 NW 5th Place) to the County. The developer has also committed to constructing a Puerto Rican Community Center along with multifamily housing on properties to be conveyed from Mana Fashion Realty, LLC. The resolution also authorizes the County Mayor or designee to enforce deed provisions and exercise reversionary interests.
