Miami-Dade County Commission adopted Resolution R-499-26 on June 2, 2026, declaring certain firefighting equipment surplus and authorizing its donation to Alcada Municipal, Utica, Cundinamarca, Colombia. The equipment, including 24 jackets, 24 pants, 24 hoods, 24 sets of gloves, 24 pairs of boots, 24 helmets, and 24 ear flaps, is deemed obsolete and unusable by county departments or local municipalities.
