Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering an ordinance to approve, adopt, and ratify non-ad valorem assessment rolls, rates, and assessments for Solid Waste Collection Services for Fiscal Year 2026-27. This action will allow the Department of Solid Waste Management to continue collecting assessments at existing rates, with no increase from Fiscal Year 2025-26. The typical full-service residential household assessment will remain $702 annually. A previous proposal for a 2% Consumer Price Index adjustment was not approved on May 5, 2026. The ordinance is scheduled for a public hearing and adoption on July 21, 2026. Service reductions are anticipated to begin October 1, 2026, impacting all Service Area customers equally.
