Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners deferred a resolution authorizing the acceptance of a 1.07-acre parcel for conservation purposes. The parcel, identified by Folio Nos. 30-6933-000-0680 and 30-6933-000-0700, is located along Harriet Tubman Highway and SW 278 Street in unincorporated Miami-Dade County. The land is being conveyed by VC Station, LLC, as a donation for conservation, stemming from an approved mixed-use affordable housing development. The deferral was requested by Vice-Chairman Kionne L. McGhee. The Recreation, Tourism, and Resiliency Committee had previously forwarded the resolution with a favorable recommendation. The property will be managed by the Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM) with estimated annual costs of $5,000 to $10,000, funded by Tree Trust Funds.
