STD AMENDING ORDINANCE 95-77 ENCHANTED LAKES

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 95-77, which established the Enchanted Lake Security Guard Special Taxing District. The amendment allows for the use of license plate readers or other updated visitor management technology to document visitor vehicles entering and exiting the district. The original improvements included a security guard program with two guardhouses, road closures, reconstruction of N.E. 192nd Street and N.E. 23rd Avenue, installation of gates, and barricades. The amendment permits the addition of technology for documenting visitor vehicles, which may be furnished, installed, operated, and maintained to monitor vehicular lanes adjacent to the guardhouses. The ordinance was adopted on first reading on May 5, 2026, and finally adopted on June 2, 2026.
