Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted an ordinance creating the Palm Bay South Multipurpose Maintenance Special Taxing District. This district is established to maintain landscaped swales, medians, common areas, entrance features, wetlands, lakes, and the exterior of fencing or walls abutting public rights-of-way, including turf, trees, shrubs, and irrigation. Services will commence if any association or community development district fails to provide these maintenance services. The estimated cost for the first year is $51,606.50 ($1.8891 per assessable square foot), and $37,853.11 ($1.3856 per assessable square foot) for the second year. The district is generally bounded by SW 215 Street (North), SW 110 Avenue (East), SW 216 Street/Hainlin Drive (South), and Theoretical SW 110 Place (West). The sole property owner and developer, Palm Bay South, LLC, requested the district, with 100% of property owners signing the petition.
