Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution (File Number: 260911, Reference: R-526-26) on June 16, 2026, declaring county-owned property with Folio No. 01-3125-004-0160 as surplus. The property is authorized for conveyance to CIPRES RE, LLC, a Florida limited liability company affiliated with Rilea Group, Inc., for $10.00. The purpose of the conveyance is to develop the property with 14 units of affordable housing, to be rented to very low-, low-, or moderate-income households (incomes not exceeding 120 percent of Area Median Income). The project will also include approximately 4,100 square feet of ground-floor commercial space ancillary to the residential use. CIPRES RE, LLC will also contribute $800,000.00 to a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation for an endowed scholarship for students residing within County Commission District 3. The developer must develop and rent the housing within three years of the County Deed recording, subject to a reverter. The resolution waived certain notice and procedural requirements. The Housing Committee forwarded the item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation on June 9, 2026.
