Miami-Dade County Commission adopted Resolution R-543-26, authorizing a non-competitive designated purchase for Contract No. EVN0004711, Tire Purchases and Related Services, for the People and Internal Operations Department. This modification approves an additional expenditure authority of $870,000.00, bringing the total modified contract amount to $35,932,395.00. The modification implements price adjustments for 12 tire products by thirteen percent due to increased costs associated with tariffs on rubber used in tire recapping and retreading. Fedan Corp. dba Fedan Tire Co. is the vendor requesting the price adjustment, and it is noted that Fedan continues to offer the lowest pricing for their awarded items despite the increase. The contract, originally awarded on February 4, 2025, for a five-year term, supports the County's fleet and emergency vehicles. The decision was made by a two-thirds vote of the Board members present.
