Miami-Dade County, through the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department, is seeking retroactive approval for grant funds totaling $21,113.26 from the Florida Department of Health's Emergency Medical Services Matching Grant Program. These funds are designated for the expansion and enhancement of emergency medical services, specifically for the procurement of EMS stair chairs and electronic Patient Care Report (ePCR) tablets. The county is authorized to apply for additional funding and utilize up to $7,037.76 for cash match requirements. The Safety and Health Committee forwarded this item to the Board of County Commissioners with a favorable recommendation. The services will be countywide.
