AMENDING DEED RE BUILDING BETTER COMMUNITIES

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is authorizing an amended and restated county deed to Building Better Communities of South Florida, Inc. This action allows for the conveyance of three previously conveyed county properties (Folio Nos. 10-7813-050-0380, 30-5032-000-0370, and 30-5032-000-0380) to its affiliate, Javon Gardens LLC. Additionally, it grants a two-year extension for Building Better Communities to obtain final certificates of occupancy for multi-family rental units intended for very low-, low-, or moderate-income households. The extension pushes the deadline to July 29, 2028. Javon Gardens LLC is a joint venture between Building Better Communities and Pyramid Construction. The justification for the extension includes uncontrollable delays and the inability of Building Better Communities to secure financing independently.
