AMENDMENT TO LAND EXCHANGE AGREEMENT

Miami-Dade County Commission approved the First Amendment to a Land Exchange Agreement between Miami-Dade County and the District Board of Trustees of Miami-Dade College. The amendment modifies the original agreement to remove a closing condition requiring the Public Health Trust to complete environmental remediation and obtain a No Further Action Letter. It also modifies environmental remediation provisions, the closing date definition, and the effective date of the amendment. The parties will cooperate post-closing to exchange information related to pre-closing environmental remediation and replat efforts. The original agreement involved the exchange of 48,102 square feet of land (College Parcel, Folio No. 01-3135-106-0010) for 48,456 square feet of land (County Parcel, Folio No. 01-3135-061-0010). The College Parcel is needed by the Public Health Trust for parking to support its Emergency Department Expansion Project at Jackson Memorial Medical Center. The County Parcel is operated by the Public Health Trust. The amendment facilitates the expeditious closing of the property exchange.
