Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering an ordinance to establish the Sandero Landing Community Development District (CDD). The CDD is proposed for an 82.95-acre residential development by D.R. Horton, Inc. The development will include 258 two-story townhomes, 436 three-story townhomes, and 66 live/work units, with associated infrastructure improvements estimated at $35.384 million. The CDD will provide a financing mechanism for capital improvements and maintenance. The ordinance was adopted on first reading on May 19, 2026, and a public hearing is scheduled for July 21, 2026. The proposed district is generally bounded by Canal 103 South to the north, SW 167 Avenue to the east, SW 328 Street to the south, and SW 172 Avenue to the west.
