CEI SERVICES CONTRACT FOR THE UNDERLINE

Miami-Dade County Commission approved Supplemental Agreement No. 1 for professional services related to The Underline Phase 3 – Segments 3 to 9. This agreement increases the contract value for Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CEI) services provided by Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. The increase is $2,252,721.83, bringing the total contract value to $8,252,721.83. The contract term is extended by 270 non-compensable calendar days, for a total of 1,654 calendar days. The additional services are needed to support an expanded scope and extended schedule for the project, including enhanced quality assurance, increased inspection for new elements like Wi-Fi, and extended oversight due to schedule impacts. The original CEI contract was approved on April 4, 2023. The project involves a 7.36-mile multimodal corridor with paths, bridges, landscaping, lighting, drainage, and wayfinding.
