CITY OF HOMESTEAD LICENSE AGREEMENT

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners approved a resolution authorizing a one-year license agreement with two additional one-year renewal options for the City of Homestead to use a parking lot at Harris Field Park. The Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department will operate a mobile spay/neuter unit on the premises. The agreement has a nominal fee of $1.00 per year, with all operational costs absorbed by the Animal Services Department's existing budget. This initiative aims to reduce unwanted litters and shelter intake, continuing services previously offered at the park. The City of Homestead will be responsible for utility costs.
