COPART WEST SPECIAL TAXING DISTRICT

Miami-Dade County is creating the Copart West Street Lighting Special Taxing District. The district will provide street lighting services within public rights-of-way. The project involves the installation of 18 LED streetlights on concrete poles. The developer, Copart of Connecticut, Inc., is funding the first year's costs, estimated at $82,815.28, with subsequent years funded by special assessments to property owners. Florida Power and Light will own and maintain the system. The estimated completion for the installation is Fall 2028, with initial billing in November 2029.
