Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a Resolution approving a Development Lease Agreement (DLA) with CR Aviation Leasing, LLC for a 222,870 square foot parcel at Miami Executive Airport. The project involves the development of aviation hangar facilities and ancillary infrastructure with a minimum investment of $4,000,000.00. The lease term is 30 years with a five-year renewal option. The County anticipates a minimum of $5,188,663.00 in rent and other revenue over the initial term. The Aviation and Seaport Committee recommended approval with amendments related to expedited permit review. The project includes phased construction, with Phase 1 completion within 18 months and Phase 2 completion within 36 months of DLA execution. CR Aviation will also implement a workforce development program. The agreement is subject to conditions precedent, including approval from traffic and consulting engineers and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
