ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION AND UTILITY SERVICE FEE

Miami-Dade County is establishing a loan program for environmental remediation projects focused on drinking water supply protection. The program will utilize funds from the Utility Service Fee Fund. Loans will be available for properties currently owned by the County or previously owned by the County as of January 1, 2025, provided the property is 10 acres or larger. Eligible applicants include County departments, tenants on County-owned properties, and owners/tenants of former County properties. Loans will be zero-interest and repaid over a maximum of 35 years. The program requires Board of County Commissioners approval for all loans. The ordinance amends Section 24-34 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida.
