ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION AND UTILITY SERVICE FEE

Miami-Dade County is establishing a loan program for environmental remediation projects that protect the drinking water supply. The program will use funds from the utility service fee and is limited to County-owned properties (or those previously owned by the County before January 1, 2025) that are 10 acres or larger. Loans will be zero-interest and repaid over up to 35 years. The ordinance amends Section 24-34 of the Code of Miami-Dade County. The Infrastructure, Innovation & Technology Committee is reviewing the ordinance.
