ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION AND UTILITY SERVICE FEE

Miami-Dade County is establishing a loan program for environmental remediation projects that protect the County's drinking water supply. This program will utilize funds from the Utility Service Fee Fund. Eligible properties must be 10 acres or greater and either currently owned by the County or previously owned by the County before January 1, 2025. Loans will be zero-interest and repaid over up to 35 years. The program is discretionary and requires Board of County Commissioners approval for all loans. The ordinance amends Section 24-34 of the Code of Miami-Dade County.
