Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is considering a resolution to approve a land exchange agreement between Miami-Dade County and the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD). The County will convey 3.889 acres of its land, bounded by SW 26 Street, SW 28 Street, SW 173 Avenue, and SW 172 Court, to SFWMD. In exchange, the County will receive five fee simple parcels from SFWMD, totaling 1.318 acres, located along SW 157th Avenue between SW 42nd Street and SW 26th Street. These SFWMD parcels are required for County roadway improvements to SW 157th Avenue. Both parties have elected not to reserve mineral rights. The appraised value of both the County's land and the SFWMD's land is $175,000.00.
