FY 2026 ACTION PLAN
Board of County Commissioners · 2026-07-21 · resolution
Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering the FY 2026 Action Plan, which allocates $12,657,029.00 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, $4,722,449.45 in HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) funds, and $1,096,830.00 in Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds. The plan also includes substantial amendments to previous consolidated plans to recapture and reallocate $1,174,556.59 of CDBG funds, $694.09 of ESG funds, $2,211.55 of CDBG-CV funds, and $3,984.46 of ESG-CV funds. The funds are designated for various activities including public services, economic development, housing, and public facilities and capital improvements, primarily benefiting low- to moderate-income residents. The Board is asked to authorize the County Mayor or designee to submit the plan to HUD, recapture funds from stalled activities, allocate funds to eligible activities, and execute necessary agreements. Public comment included concerns about disability access to housing and transit, and affordability pressures on long-time residents in Liberty City due to rising costs and development. A scrivener's error regarding an Allapattah community resource center facility improvement was corrected.
