FY 2026 ACTION PLAN
Board of County Commissioners · 2026-07-21 · resolution
Miami-Dade County is seeking approval for its Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Action Plan, which includes recommendations for allocating $12,657,029.00 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, $4,722,449.45 in HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) funds, and $1,096,830.00 in Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds. The plan also involves substantial amendments to previous Consolidated Plans and Action Plans to recapture and reallocate $1,174,556.59 in CDBG funds, $694.09 in ESG funds, $2,211.55 in CDBG-CV funds, and $3,984.46 in ESG-CV funds. The County Mayor or designee is authorized to submit the plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), recapture unused funds, allocate funds to eligible activities including public service, economic development, housing, and public facilities/capital improvements, and execute necessary agreements. The scope is countywide, focusing on low- to moderate-income residents and neighborhoods. Public comment highlighted concerns about disability access in housing and transit, and affordability pressures in Liberty City due to rising costs and development.
