Miami-Dade County is establishing the Harmony Homes Multipurpose Maintenance and Street Lighting Special Taxing District. The district will provide maintenance for landscaped areas, common areas, entrance features, wetlands, and lakes, as well as street lighting services. The initial cost for multipurpose maintenance is estimated at $79,437.60 annually, and for street lighting, it is estimated at $125,783.92 for the first year and $29,042.16 for the second year. The developer, Harmony Three, LLC, requested the district, and 100% of property owners signed the petition. The Board of County Commissioners is expected to approve the ordinance, with a public hearing tentatively scheduled for September 1, 2026. Florida Power and Light will be involved in the street lighting installation and maintenance.
