Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a resolution to approve the issuance of multifamily housing revenue debt obligations by the Housing Finance Authority of Miami-Dade County. The debt, not to exceed $32,680,000.00, will be loaned to Colony Lakes Housing, L.P. to finance the acquisition and rehabilitation of a multifamily housing rental project known as Colony Lakes. The project is located on approximately 15 acres at 1500 East Mowry Drive in Homestead and is expected to provide approximately 220 rental housing units for low, moderate, or middle-income persons and families. A public hearing was held on June 17, 2026, and disclosed no reason why the debt should not be issued. The Bonds are expected to be issued by September 2026. The debt and interest are payable solely from revenues provided by the Borrower and do not represent a debt or obligation of the County.
