Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a resolution to approve the issuance of multifamily housing revenue debt obligations by the Housing Finance Authority of Miami-Dade County. The total amount will not exceed $32,680,000.00. These funds will be loaned to Colony Lakes Housing, L.P. to finance a portion of the acquisition and rehabilitation costs for a multifamily housing rental project known as Colony Lakes. The project is located on approximately 15 acres at 1500 East Mowry Drive, Homestead, and is expected to provide approximately 220 rental housing units for low, moderate, or middle-income individuals and families. The Housing Finance Authority held a public hearing on June 17, 2026, and found no reason why the debt should not be issued. The Board of County Commissioners is expected to approve this issuance. The Series 2026 Bonds are anticipated to be issued by September 2026.
