Miami-Dade County Commissioners are considering the conveyance of four county-owned properties to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami, Inc. and Elite Equity Development, Inc. for the development of affordable housing. The properties, identified by folio numbers, are to be declared surplus and conveyed for $10.00 each. The developers are required to build affordable housing for very low-, low-, or moderate-income households within two years of the conveyance. The agenda item was deferred at the request of Commissioner Cohen Higgins to the September 1, 2026, Board of County Commissioners meeting. The Housing Committee previously forwarded the item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation.
