Miami-Dade County is declaring four county-owned properties as surplus and revising its inventory list for affordable housing. The properties will be conveyed to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami, Inc. and Elite Equity Development, Inc. for $10.00 each. The developers are tasked with constructing affordable housing to be sold to very low-, low-, or moderate-income households within two years of the county deed recording. The Board of County Commissioners agenda item was deferred at the request of Commissioner Cohen Higgins to the September 1, 2026 meeting. The Housing Committee had previously forwarded the item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation.
