Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners deferred a resolution to declare certain county-owned properties as surplus and authorize their conveyance to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami, Inc. and Elite Equity Development, Inc. for $10.00 each. The properties are intended for the development of affordable housing for very low-, low-, or moderate-income households. The Housing Committee had previously forwarded the item to the Board with a favorable recommendation. The Board of County Commissioners deferred the item on 7/21/2026 to the September 1, 2026 meeting at the request of Commissioner Cohen Higgins.
