Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is directing the County Mayor or designee to negotiate a non-competitive, revenue-generating contract for a landfill gas conversion facility at the South Dade Landfill site. This action follows the rejection of all proposals received under RFP No. EVN0019329 because they were deemed non-responsive. The new solicitation will likely focus solely on the South Dade Landfill site, as the North Dade Landfill was found to be not viable. The estimated cost for a developer to design and build each facility was over $30,000,000.
