Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a resolution to authorize the County Mayor or designee to receive and expend grant funds from The Miami Foundation. The grant is for $900,000.00 over a three-year term (August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2029) to support the operations and activities of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs. The funds can be used for overhead, marketing, supplies, and administrative expenses, but not for regranting to specific individuals or organizations. Any allocation to specific events, programs, or initiatives requires prior Board approval. The grant does not require matching funds from the County. The Department of Cultural Affairs will manage and monitor the grant, submitting annual reports.
