Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a resolution to waive competitive bidding procedures to approve a Programming Partnership Operating and Management Agreement between Miami-Dade County and Pelican Harbor Seabird Station, Inc. This agreement allows Pelican Harbor Seabird Station, Inc. to continue operating the Pelican Harbor Seabird Station for the care of sick and injured seabirds until April 1, 2027. The station is located at Pelican Harbor Marina and will relocate to a new facility on or before April 1, 2027. The agreement requires yearly fees to the County in the amount of $300.00. The Recreation, Tourism, and Resiliency Committee forwarded this item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation. The Board of County Commissioners is expected to vote on this matter on July 21, 2026.
