Miami-Dade County is seeking to authorize additional expenditure authority for Prequalification Pool No. RTQ-02111, Petroleum Products. The total modified cumulative pool amount would be $17,454,937.00, an increase of $4,343,737.00. This pool is for multiple County departments and supports the purchase of petroleum products like motor oils, coolants, greases, and lubricants for vehicles and machinery. The Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) requests $2,269,024, the People and Internal Operations Department (PIOD) requests $1,620,000, and the Water and Sewer Department (WASD) requests $454,713. The pool was initially approved on March 1, 2023, for a five-year term and expires on February 29, 2028. The Infrastructure, Innovation & Technology Committee forwarded this item to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation. Any contract award under the pool exceeding $5,000,000 requires BCC ratification. Prequalified vendors include Burck Oil Company, Inc., Cummins Inc. dba Cummins Sales and Service, Genuine Parts Company, Inforca International, LLC, M & J Sunshine, Corp. (SBE), and Reladyne Florida, LLC.
