Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a resolution to amend Resolution No. R-38-26. This amendment will approve and authorize the County Mayor or designee to execute a Revised Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) and the Property Appraiser of Miami-Dade County (PAMDC). The original MOA, approved on January 21, 2026, allowed for the sharing of Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) participant address and landlord information. The revised agreement clarifies and expands the categories of documents and information HCD must provide to PAMDC, specifies required documentation, timelines, and transmission formats, and revises the hold harmless and indemnification section. It also incorporates legal opinions from HUD. The purpose is to aid property assessment and compliance by verifying the nature and occupancy of residential rental properties, while safeguarding Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in accordance with federal and state laws and county protocols. The Housing Committee forwarded this item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation on June 9, 2026. The Board of County Commissioners is scheduled to review this on July 21, 2026.
