Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering ratification of Change Order No. 1 to Contract No. S-930B between Miami-Dade County and Daniel O'Connell's Sons, Inc. This change order grants a 622-day non-compensable time extension for the construction of ST-2D-B South District Wastewater Treatment Plant (SDWWTP) Substations 5/6 and 15/16. The delays are attributed to extended fabrication and delivery of electrical equipment due to supply chain issues and required shutdowns for installing new voltage feeders. The project aims to increase the SDWWTP's average daily flow capacity and peak flow capacity. The original contract award was $21,805,340.00. The Substantial Completion Date is extended from June 10, 2023, to February 21, 2025, and the Final Completion Date from July 22, 2023, to April 4, 2025. There is no additional fiscal impact. Small Business Enterprise measures were applied to the original contract but do not apply to this time extension change order.
