Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a resolution to approve a second amendment to a grant agreement with 1109 NW 2nd Ave LLC. This amendment will increase the grant amount from $8,600,000.00 to $12,957,876.00. The funds are designated for the acquisition and development of properties in the Overtown area for affordable housing and commercial uses. An additional $4,357,876.00 will be disbursed from the Overtown trust fund. The Housing Committee forwarded this item to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation. The BCC is scheduled to consider this on July 21, 2026.
