Miami-Dade County is reporting on job classifications where active-duty military experience can substitute for traditional college degree requirements. The People and Internal Operations Department (PIOD) identified 485 job classifications within the classified service system where this substitution is feasible, and an additional 683 classifications that do not require a college degree. This initiative aligns with efforts to attract and retain a skilled workforce by valuing practical experience.
