AMENDING DEED RE BUILDING BETTER COMMUNITIES

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is considering a resolution to authorize amended and restated county deeds for three properties (Folio Nos. 10-7813-050-0380, 30-5032-000-0370, and 30-5032-000-0380). The resolution would allow Building Better Communities of South Florida, Inc. to transfer these properties to its affiliate, Javon Gardens LLC (a joint venture with Pyramid Construction). It also grants a two-year extension, until July 29, 2028, for obtaining final certificates of occupancy for multi-family rental units intended for very low, low, or moderate income households. The original purpose was single-family homes for sale under the Infill Housing Program, but this was amended to multi-family rental units. The extension is granted due to uncontrollable delays, including survey completion, and the transfer to Javon Gardens LLC is to facilitate financing. The Housing Committee forwarded this to the BCC with a favorable recommendation.
