Miami-Dade County Commission adopted Resolution R-388-26, authorizing an additional expenditure of $6,297,661.00 for Contract No. EVN0000429, which provides Cryogenic Oxygen Plant Maintenance and Technical Support Services (Group 1) for the Water and Sewer Department. This brings the total modified contract amount to $12,156,661.00. The additional funds are needed due to unanticipated emergency repairs and operational needs stemming from aging infrastructure, including the catastrophic failure of a VPSA system in March 2025 and the subsequent reactivation of two 40-year-old cryogenic air separation units. The contract, initially approved on October 1, 2024, for a five-year term, is with Ranch Cryogenics, Inc. The County Mayor or designee is authorized to exercise all contract provisions. The Infrastructure, Innovation & Technology Committee forwarded the item with a favorable recommendation.
