Miami-Dade County is seeking to authorize additional expenditure authority for Prequalification Pool No. RTQ-02111, Petroleum Products. The request is for an additional $4,343,737.00, bringing the total modified cumulative pool amount to $17,454,937.00. This pool supports multiple County departments, including the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW), People and Internal Operations Department (PIOD), and Water and Sewer Department (WASD), for the purchase of essential petroleum products like motor oils, coolants, greases, and lubricants. These products are critical for the maintenance and operation of County vehicles, transit buses, heavy equipment, and industrial machinery, ensuring continued service delivery and infrastructure support. The pool was initially approved on March 1, 2023, for a five-year term and expires on February 29, 2028. The Infrastructure, Innovation & Technology Committee forwarded this item to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation on June 10, 2026. The BCC is scheduled to consider this item on July 21, 2026.
