Miami-Dade County is amending its Investment Policy. The changes include modifying the composition of authorized investments, removing the requirement for Board approval before investing in the Local Government Surplus Fund Trust Fund, and updating references to clarify the roles of the County Clerk and Comptroller. These amendments align the policy with changes in Florida Statutes regarding investments in bonds backed by the government of Israel and adjust percentage thresholds for various investments in consultation with the County's investment advisor, Hilltop Securities Inc. The policy will also be updated to reflect the County's transition to independent constitutional county offices. The matter is currently in committee.
