Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners rejected all proposals for the Development of Landfill Gas Conversion Project (RFP No. EVN0019329) for the Department of Solid Waste Management. The rejection was due to all submitted proposals being deemed non-responsive by the County Attorney's Office. The County intends to resolicit, likely focusing only on the South Dade Landfill site due to viability concerns with the North Dade Landfill. The project involves designing, building, financing, operating, and maintaining facilities to clean and utilize landfill gas for Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) production or other beneficial uses, with revenue sharing.
