Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners rejected all proposals for the Development of Landfill Gas Conversion Project (RFP No. EVN0019329) for the Department of Solid Waste Management. The rejection was due to all submitted proposals being deemed non-responsive by the County Attorney's Office. The County plans to resolicit, likely focusing only on the South Dade Landfill site due to viability concerns with the North Dade Landfill. The estimated cost for developers to design and build each facility was over $30,000,000. The County will seek market feedback before reissuing the solicitation. Five proposals were received by the October 15, 2025 deadline.
