Miami-Dade County is calling a countywide special election on November 3, 2026, to amend the Home Rule Charter. The proposed amendments aim to revise the process for calling elections to fill commission vacancies and establish minimum standards for municipal qualifying dates. The Charter Review Task Force recommended these changes, with a vote of seven in favor and one against. The election will be held in conjunction with the General Election.
